Don L. King – Publisher
Don L. King was born in Lebanon, Missouri, October 30, 1942 to Homer and Helen King. His father was a gospel preacher for over forty-seven years, and Don had the rare opportunity to travel the country with his father. He obeyed the Gospel in 1956 at Stockton, California, under the preaching of his father. Don graduated from high school in Stockton in 1960 and since has attended various colleges in California as an English major and music minor. He preached his first sermon in 1961, and his full time preaching began in 1969. In 1971, he moved to Fremont, California, to do the mission work; and Fremont continues to be his home congregation. His ministry of preaching has carried him into most of the states and many countries throughout the world. Since 1980, he has travelled yearly with various preachers and his dear friend, Brother Virgilio Danao, to encourage and assist the work in the Philippines for the Fremont congregation. He continues to conduct several meetings a year. In 1976, he acquired the publishing responsibilities of the Old Paths Advocate and continues to serve as the publisher along with writing the Editorial for the paper on a monthly basis. He is the author of the tract, Let Her Be Covered. He was honored to be the speaker for the television program, “Search for the Ancient Faith,” produced by the Bakersfield, California congregation covering various locations in the United States and Canada. He was married to Patricia Hall on June 17, 1962 in Stockton, California. They have two children: Kris and Lance, both faithful members of the Church who now have faithful families of their own.
